First Book of the Third Grade Year!

Sidney started her third grade year reading Little Women by Louisa May Alcott (the Junior Abridged Version).  

I was disappointed when I heard it was not true.

Four Books to Finish Off Summer

The week before school started and all through the house not a creature was stirring...well, Sidney was staying up way past her bedtime reading.

The Worst Name in Third Grade was not my favorite because it was kind of sad. Bridgett Butt's dog Bobo was very old and dying.

Ivy+Bean was fun. The girls made a camp named Camp Flaming Arrow and they had adventures.

Mystery Under the May Apple was great.  I like mysteries and this was a really fun mystery.  It was about someone who stole a gossamer winged butterfly.  The emperor moth was actually Spider Kane pretending to be good. 

Marty Maguire was full of adventure.  Marty is a tomboy and doesn't like foofy dresses.  She tried to catch a bullfrog and landed in the muddy water.
